TRAVELING FESTIVAL
12 Films, 12 Cities, 12 Months. . . Host the Media That Matters Film Festival in your community!
In the coming year, we will ensure that the Festival films reach audiences around the country by carrying out a national series of screenings and workshops which we call the "Traveling Media That Matters Film Festival."
Twelve screenings are planned in twelve different cities. Check back here for times and locations. And if you can't find a screening in your area, you can organize your own. Order our DVD compilation of the festival and show all twelve films (total running time of 72 min.) or select a few films on a theme such as criminal justice, the environment, or human rights. We suggest you host a discussion after the screening or put together a panel and invite local activists to speak. Please read the article "Tips for Hosting a Screening" by Working Films' Robert West.
We'll even help promote your event by sending an e-mail to our members in your area and send you evaluation forms so you can track the impact of your event. Email us at festival@mediarights.org for more information.
The traveling Media That Matters Film Festival is a program of MediaRights.org and was funded in part by New York State Council on the Arts.
